Tue Jun 19, 07 8:53 am Another "Sauvie's today" thread... (June 19, 2007) |

So what's everyone thinking today? Forecast looks decent (for Sauvie's), but it's supposed to have a ton of west in it too. I'm bored!
"Center of effort shifts further westward down the Gorge today as Pacific High works hard to stay in control along the West Coast. This development will narrow the focus of west wind to a much minimized portion of the Columbia River and PM peaks will be subject to the depth / breadth of inland heating.
• Jones Beach west 18-22 during the pm peak. Sauvies WNW 14-18. Should definitely get the needed sunshine over PDX to pump temps.
• Central Gorge sees early 16-20 from Swell to Viento, bursts of 22-26 are possible if cloudlines and heating hit it off just perfect.
• NW wind to develop at the ocean beaches as High builds strongly. NW flow pushes 15-20 up north and south beaches go 25-35. West swell 5 feet at 6 seconds, wind waves 10ft for south."

Yea, coast forecast just fell off. Looks like either Sauvies, Jones, or Stevenson today between 4 and 5.
