Does anyone know of a good drysuit repair service in or around the Gorge/Portland area? I overstretched my neck gasket and had a leak on day one  , I have an Ocean Rodeo Heat drysuit.
Looking at potentially also switching from a Latex to Silicone... or find out if it's even possible. Does anyone have experience with Silicone gaskets for kiting? |

They can get you fixed up. I have the same suit and considered going for the comfy new neo neck seal but so far have stuck it out with the old latex which keeps the water 100% out, so far so good.
This time of year the HEAT is so nice - if the rain and snow ever stop

Just an FYI, Jerry the owner is really busy with repairs, custom suits etc. I didn't understand why it took him a bit to reply to my calls/emails until I went to Beaverton to pick up my repair last year--he added custom dry socks to my Soul. Floor to ceiling suits...
He has a full mini-factory going, and does everything from maintenance repairs/pressure testing to 100% custom made dry suits.

| When you get your drysuit repaired, consider getting custom sized wrist and neck gaskets. I can't begin to tell you how much more comfortable they are and how much warmer your hands stay. Most wrist gaskets are too tight and cut down blood supply to your hands making them cold. Let's not even get into being choked by the neck gasket. Yes, you cut universal gaskets to be close to the right size, but then the seal is a very narrow band which has to be too tight to actually seal properly. With custom fit gaskets the seal is almost two inches wide. Try it once, you will never use universal gaskets again. I get mine done at Kayak Academy. https://www.kayakacademy.com/ |
