Anyone going to SI today? Sunday 6-3. I was thinking about going - but I'm not sure about the wind. If I don't hit SI today then I will go to hood river.

Yesterday was mostly a tease. Wind was up to 9 knots for maybe an hour, if that. (About 5:30 to 6:30)

Looks like it's gonna crank out east, especially if we get some thermal wind!

I'm going to take Nak's advice and head to Jones. They changed the forecast for today. Looks like it will be good.

I was lit on my 10 from 1 to 4 today at Jones and only saw two other kiters. Thanks for the advise Nak. Is there any flatwater to be had there? Nice place but a little hard on the knees. Also I've only been there one other time and everyone set up near the parking lot. This time the only other two kiters were well up wind by the island. Is there a reason for this?

Had a good day at SI today. It was my first time riding SI this season.

I arrived at like 4:00 PM or so and there was absolutely no wind - I thought - there is no way this is going to pick up. And then around 5:30 it was like someone flipped a switch and wallah there was wind!! I was the only kiter out there. Just got lucky this time!!

Doc's orders...."Don't go jumping 50ft. in the air on me.."
-so, I figured 20ft. jumps are okay.

I checked out the other side of the river a couple of times but never the other side of the island. Seems like that's the place to be. I kept thinking I would get over there and something would go wrong and no one would notice....hehe.

The Bularoo is really sweet. Especially for a beginner. It is really stable, and you can turn the power off and on very quickly. I guess it's supposed to ride more like the 06 waroo than the 07. I would like to demo a 13 or a 16 because I hate my 17 Yarga. I rode the 10 down to around 15 mph with a DIY Flywood that Hein cut out for me but I think I will need something a little bigger for those really light days.
