I'm planning to replace my aging Naish X2 16 and Cabrinha Recon 10 with a couple of 2007 Waroos. Those two C kites pretty much cover the range I like to go out in - when it gets really windy I wimp out and go windsurfing.

To cover the same range, or maybe extend it down a bit into lighter winds, what Waroos do I want? A 15 & 11? 13 & 9?

Go with the 15 and 11. a 12, 13 in a C kite has the same power as 11,12 waroo. at least i think so. the 15 waroo is a little slower in response for my liking but still great. i have flown the 15 and 17 alot back in utah(light wind cursed place)and i like them. it will cover you down to the 11 and the 11 will cover down to a 9. i fly a 12 and 7 waroo and love them both. i am super small so... small kites are my cup of tea

I would go with a 13 and a 9 and have a bigger board for the light days. If you have a smaller kite you might be able to go on those windy days that you go windsurfing instead. I have a 15m and only use it on the really light days at Sauvie, but probably could use a 13 just as well--

The TD II is a great kite. You should demo the TD II before you go for the Waroo. I have a tdII 9, 11, and 14. I weigh 220 and can sail in 13 knots of wind!!!

If I were to go for 2 kites I would get a 9 and 11. On light days I would get a 6 foot surfboard.

Try the new Turbo II's they are great!
