Hey, I'll take the poo water any day over the nasty smell flowing through the sandbar during saturdays clean up...I didn't mind helping out but that smell.....that fu**n smell was killing me...Not sure where it came from, since I'm not from Hood river...and I only go there once in a while.

hey tony,

i would imagine that was the sewage treatment plant that is just upwind of the sandbar. smells like toilet most of the time if the wind is just a bit out of the south.

I just got back in town... When did it stop raining? The alert says to avoid the Willamette for 48 hours after the rain stops?

Hey, don't be dissing on 3rd Ave now Wink, I might be going there today. Besides, you know part of the reason the water is brown is just the mud in the bay...not sure what the other part is Confused. I think all of the 3rd Ave locals have just evolved to accommodate sewage...or maybe we're all going to turn into the Toxic Avenger pretty soon Cool

To watch good wind pass you by because of a few floaters would be an affront to thine Wind Gods!

It is that time of year when the sea lions migrate up stream for some spring king, and there are often sightings of the migrating brownback corn trout that float downstream to spawn.
