I am not a kitesurfer, but I am a regular to rooster rock some 37 years now. I wanted to say that my community is dismayed and frustrated with the kitesurfers and windsurfers alike. Rooster rock has and will always be a place where me and my community of naturists (nudists to the uninitiated) have come to enjoy the beautiful scenery. Your community descends on rooster rock every year and par take in the delectable sites to see, and yet choose to conceal what are arguably the hottest bods in the pacific northwest. Is this done out of shame? Wouldn't it be a site to behold~!: you guys and (girls!) riding and skipping along the water line, jumping high into the stratosphere and baring it all like the great god intended!
please consider our plea. I know I am not alone here~~~

Ha, I've seen and heard it all today. First the Senate confirmation circus this morning/afternoon, and now a post from Captain American and or his friend.
I guess I'll bite on this one. It is probably a joke.
Last I checked there is a east/west line. East of the line is clothing optional and west is clothed.
Go right ahead and be nude/wear no clothes and keep on wishing kiters and windsurfers will do the same.
Kiters wear wetsuits as the water is cool, especially when evaporation comes into play. If kiters/windsurfers didn't wear wetsuits, their time on the water would be vastly limited/deminished. 99% (nothing is 100% in this world) of the kiters and windsurfers are out there for the wind, water, and the beautiful landscape views. Sorry, but our community isn't out there to descend "on rooster rock every year and par take in the delectable sites to see." News flash, over-sunned or under-sunned "nuts and berries" really aren't that "delectable" to look at and that isn't why the wind enthusiasts are out there.
Kiters dress for the swim, not the air temps. It is an insurance policy/method in case something wrong out on the water while kiting or windsurfing (as it sometimes does) and they're caught in the water for an extended period of time. I sure don't see nude folk out in the water for extended periods of time (shallow pools don't count as that is much warmer water than the main river channels).
Personally, I don't want my junk hanging around leashes, lines that can tighten and or cut; or slapping my junk against a bar, board, water, or from a jump or crashing wave.
Your wish might come true, but I'm quite sure 99% of kiters/windsurfers will stay clothed. Oh and if you do wish to see "arguably the hottest bods in the pacific northwest" you might catch a glimpse of some "nuts and berries" while one is changing in or out of a wetsuit up in the parking lot, pre or post session.

A troll or troller in internet slang is someone that starts arguments or upsets people by posting off-topic or extraneous messages in some type of online community. Their goal is to cause people to get emotional and to harass people online. ... The word trolling is a word commonly used to describe a method of fishing

So, I can ride naked at Rooster, but there’s a line that must not be crossed?

Rad-dude might have kickstarted the next great protest against oil and internal combustion engines. Why should cyclists hog the glory with WNBR?
Since "Blowout" is already taken, we'd call it World Naked Kite Ride. WNKR for short.
Gather at Dalton Pt at dusk, decorate bodies with (waterproof) paint, dress up boards with flowers and streamers, upload a bunch of pictures to social media, then launch and ride the downwinder to Rooster. Celebrate at the finish with a news conference (appropriately blurred) and a bonfire.
Jealous, I can see other kite communities picking up the torch also. Reeder Beach to Collins on a southerly is a no-brainer.

"Naturalists" at Rooster?
I thought it was all tanning strippers and one-time butt hook-ups? Either way, I'll be dangling tough next time I go there.
Get out the binocs RD!

I know a guy that lost a thumb in "Nam" about 5 years ago. A kite line wrapped around it, the kite powered up, and his thumb was gone.
Now, thinking things through, I'm going to keep my shorts on lest I loose something more precious than a thumb. But once lost, I guess there would be no reason for my continued caution.
And I would not necessarily classify the OP as a troll. This is comedy! Anybody have any idea who it really is? My guess is "Sassy" himself.

Was Mr No Thumb from Alaska / Canada? I met a kiter in La Ventana a few years back that lost his tumb to kite lines .

Sorry, but you're barking up the wrong tree; it wasn't me.

So I guess there is a law in Oregon that allows one to be naked on your own personal property and or on public land. I guess the only stipulation is that one can't be "getting busy" in a sexual way with others or oneself.
So I suppose you could kite naked anywhere in Rooster, as long as one stays in Oregon waters on the Columbia.
That is why the PDX Naked bike ride is allowed or the naked bike ride that occured recently down in Clackamas Country by one indivdual man; the authorities documented it, but didn't arrest the gentleman.
And Rad-dude and the partons of the east side bathroom and the willow bush trail system, this might be a compromise by some of kiters and windsurfers. . . It affords some thermal insulation and protection for wind enthusists and gives you a peek-see.

I swear I know that guy. I think that is "German Mike".....but then again, I think his suit was cut out in a big round hole, not just a slit. What a tease.
And Sassy, I was just kidding. Though you were the first reply on the topic. Be more careful with that one next time. Remember, "he who smelt it, dealt it".

Well looking at this chart from last FRI - it's UP way UP (>---------🏄🏽♂️
