Hi Guys,

This one doesn't have Joaquin, but thought you all might enjoy the footage from our first trip. Some cool footage of Clinton in the Grenadines and some of the local NW boys.

Hope you enjoy it!

I spent the last 2 months editing this in between other jobs. Did it all on a powerbook. I usually use a G5 tower and edit in full-res. In this case I loaded all the 10 hours of footage at low-res on the boat so I could start the editing down there. I didn't get much done however, due to good winds and good rum. Once the cut was approved back at home, I dumped all the low-res and re-digitized it at NTSC DVcam resolution. This is typically called an offline process. I haven't edited this way since about 1993!
Technology, drive speed, and cost have made it possible to edit "online" in most cases. One thing: you can't edit full-res (online) on a powerbook because the internal drives aren't fast enough. So, when I reloaded the footage-- I put to a 7200rpm external drive. I primarily used final cut pro, a couple of shots were after effects stablilized and of course the graphics were AE too. The Western Shore video is great, much After Effects going on there--I would love to get it to that level, but it will have to happen on a personal project. Hopefully this summer I will be able to get some great footage of all you guys and make a cool video that we can all be in. I already have some "foot"age in the can.. right Monkeyboy?
