Thu Apr 19, 07 8:04 am WW rampage kite Q? |
|
|
Anyone try the new WW rampage 2 kites. I know they have a store in the gorge - was considering them due to the fact that my existing sle keeps breaking the bridal. Seems like the bridals / pulleys don't mix.
Was looking for an unbiased review of the rampage in terms of jumping, turning speed and waves.
I am an intermediate kiter (backrolls, 720's, f-16 etc).
Thanks in advance, |

The Windwing store in Hood River offers free test rides for both the Rampage 2 and the Batwing. Everyone that is shopping for a kite should go and take them up on the offer. I bought a Rampage2 - 9.5 meter. The simple bridal set up which has multiple attachment points is very user friendly and easy to adjust in seconds. Last week I flew it for about 2.5 hours in Lake Okanagon at Kelowna BC. The wind conditions were terrible as the wind was changing direction and wind speed every five minutes. The kite handled the very low lulls and instant gusts extremly well, overall I had a great session. The kite takes a little practice to re-launch, but once you get the hang of it you will have it flying agian in seconds. I am not a big air kiter so I will not be able to help you out with that aspect. Windwing has a 30-day no questions asked return policy, I will be keeping my kite. Like I said get out to Hood River and test fly it, let me know how it went. _________________ It's all good |
