Yo

I got the day off from classes, so I was thinkin of chasing the wind and sun out to Rufus tomorrow. NOAA is saying 80% chance of rain in the Hood, 30% at Lyle, and 'Partly Cloudy' at Rufus with gusts to 27mph. I figure the dry line will be at or around the Dalles with 30mph and tasty swell at Rufus or earlier, Mayhill or secrets maybe...classic spring setup though. Windbow agrees

Anyone down to get some? With it so cold I'd like to at least see one other kiter out there...ya know, just in case.

looks sunny fer ya:

Actually, less current is better for swell.
Last year it got to 350,000 cfs and there
was one day where the whole river was
a slick. Maybe the current was near 400,000
that day. That amount of water can fill 45
Olympic sized swimming pools every second.

That's a shit load of water (and energy)
