Our trip to Baja got all screwed up and isn't going to happen. I have to run to the LA area (woe to me) to pick up my rescue board and tow-in board. From there, it's over to AZ for a few days, then home. Any decent kite spots in AZ? The kids are pissed about the lack of Baja for '16. Need to appease them if possible. Thanks. |

I believe there are some dry lake kite festivals in the Las Vegas NV area around this time..(kite buggies) The spring time winds in Vegas are legendary.
It could be of interest to attend. I don't have many details since I have never been able to make it to one of these.
But look up Ivanpah Buggy Expo and Spring Break Buggy Blast to start.. you will have to reach out and find out what is actually current...

I would also think about San Felipe. It's in Baja, but you can hit it in a day from LA. |

It had nice wind when we spent the night there last year. Not planning on heading below the boarder this year, however. Too many things conspired against us (part of which was due to me spending too much of our Baja money on a new buggy chassis...and insurance. That damn Mexican insurance). |
