Mon Feb 22, 16 11:08 am My tip for bar lines straightening after tangling |
|
|
After an equipment failure I had to untangle my lines. Found it much easier by utilizing these food snack bag clips, see image. Purchased these from ikea, supper cheap.
One additional tip to follow. After you get the lines untangled make sure you run the lines out and make sure all the line kinks are removed. This is important if you used the palm of your hand and elbow to coil the lines.

probably better off not coiling the lines (each coil introduces an unnecessary twist)
maybe just let them lie in separate piles on the ground (or buckets if you are really anal)
i like to string lines around the house and capture the dog, when rebuilding a bar with new lines - good activity while watching bad TV

Coiling is a no no. Its totally asking for trouble.
Gently "pile"or "flake" the lines and they will not get tangled when you wrap them on the bar.

Plus one for the piles! having put together many many bars and lines, the piles always come out twist free. Same thing works for power cords too actually.

I agree
Gently "pile"or "flake" the lines as said above
BUT then you can use the clip. With the clip, it's easy to thread a pile of line around other lines.
