Figured I'd share some trip details here as this forum is what connected me to the genuine hospitality of the Jackson Hole Kiters. Thumb's Up

Landed in Jackson on January 29th to a blizzard. Last plane in. They shut down the airport and sent the next flight back to SLC. Woke to fresh powder and rode the resorts for 3 days of fantastic conditions. Time to kite.

Had an evening of kiting in the village, two afternoons at Bondurant and one at Togwotee. Those locations, for an east coaster, were scenes I rarely see... Gorgeous rolling hills of endless powder.

For me (snowboard), Togwotee was easier to manage as the 10' of snow they'd received was well consolidated. The Bondurant powder was airy sage bush, covered by several feet of light powder and moderate wind slab up top. (very fun stuff to post-hole through!) Laughing My buddy on skis tore it up! I've been snowboarding for 20 years and I have to say this was the first time since I've considered strapping on skis. But I'm stubborn, so next time I'll try out the 15M instead of my 12M.

Anyway, it was a great trip out there and one of the biggest treats for me was watching Wayne Phillips and Will Taggart tear up their home turf. I've been to the resort several times in the past, but this snowkite trip really opened things up for me. Traveled around more and met some great people. Snowkiting takes you to nice places.

Captured a bit of it here;

Really sweet video. Jackson already was on the bucket list now it's bumped up

I figured I'd share some snowkite stoke too. from a typical afternoon here in Durango CO (at least while the soft snow lasts):

Thanks for the feedback guys. Was a great trip.

airon, nice vid! Loved the parliament. Durango is one of my favorite spots. I kited lemon once but it was a very light day when I was there. Saw the full potential of the spot though!
