Hi. Can anyone tell me what the wind conditions will be like at Jones beach today? I have read all this different stuff and that the wind sensors cant be trusted because of the tide. I would like to go out there, but dont want to make the trip if there is no wind. : )

We're going there from Tacoma... eta 2PM. I'm seeing a forecast-ed 10 degree temp gradient between Astoria and Kelso (60 miles), so there should be at the very least a 12M evening push. 2 PM is a bit early, but I want to light-wind foil 
Your results may vary: A strong over-powering heat wave that pushes out as far as Astoria could kill this without warning. Seen it before.
EDIT: "Western Gorge (Jones Beach to Stevenson): Jones Beach reaching WNW to NW low 20's."
More... I don't like it when the clouds have cleared already form Astoria at 9AM
