| I have seen the Slingshot T-Rex (and a Liquid Force version) at the beach, but never ridden them. They remind me of the old "mutant" kiteboards. Just need some fins or channels on the nose so you can ride them backwards too.

from what i've read, and by this i guess that i mean sifting through forum gossip, it sounds like he works for firewire now. i really wanna try one of those vangards man.

I've met Daniel/Tomo a few times and surfed his boards down in SoCal. He is certainly pushing boundaries and his shapes are pretty trippy but they work. I think his idea of a smaller board would lend itself well to kiting.
That being said, with the power of a kite, do you need the planing ability of a full-sized "hull" shape board? Maybe some of the principles of the hull could be applied to a smaller/narrower board for kiting? Since I'm new to kiting, I'm just throwing it out there.
Daniel may be working with Firewire, but no doubt he is doing his own thing too. The guy is too genius to be caged. Go Tomo!

looks like these are mutant 2.0 boards.
had fun on my mutant last weekend in Fort Stevens.
Built by a Boeing Engineer circa early 2000's. Repainted a million times, passed around the seattle kiting community like a skanky girl and run over by a car but she's still going strong. haha
