Have any of you kite'rs dabbled in the Flyboard yet. I just saw a video on it yesterday and thought it was fake at first, spendy but looks like a bit of fun. It's not kiting but new thrills are never a let down.

Looks stupid and expensive. Reminds of the one nutty Dr. Octopus villian from Spiderman.

Since you are limited to what you can do I would imagine after an hour on it you would start to get bored like snow biking.

Ugh! This thing is like a bad meatball sandwich. Just when you thought it was gone, back it comes. Would I try it out? Sure. Would I spend a ton of money to wreck my $10,000 Jet ski? Hell no! They even used a clip on last years 30 Rock/Today show. I'm sticking with my kites.
But if one of you wants to buy one, I will totally try it out.

Looks like there is a small "board" platform you stand on.

looks like your strapped to the end of a fire-hose...I wonder what keeps you from slamming head first into the jet-ski if you get out of control?

The video it looks like you're tethered somehow, or is the long noodle just open on the end to suck up water? I agree with others, looks like a skymall widget. What happens if you run out of batteries while out to sea with a long noodle and heavy motors attached to your person?

The long noodle is attached to a jet pump that you drag around with you.
