Northern Breakers - No Straps No Wax
Check out the crash recovery in the middle.
Kitesurfing strapless, no wax, north coast, coast sights, wave turns, windy beach, down winder, launch, driving on beach. Not my favorite music but good. Would have cost $500,000 to use small parts of my favorite music.

But you shudda spent the half a mill. Makes me want to hit waves, tho.

Cool. offbeat, like it.
Nice ones toward the end and like how you were getting some rail in...
Curious what cam you used?? My Gopro is MIA and considering replacement...

The cam was Sanyo Xaxti HD. Here are a few links on the setup.
I need to move the line cam up from the swivel a bit to get rid of the camera shake.
Considering trying the GoPro but have not yet. What happened to yours?

hey I sent you a pm and assumed you just used a gopro. I love your innovation putting that sony on your lines.
pushing your camera up a little might help but really if you want stability, you'll need a different setup, both with your lines and with a mount.
I'm not bashing your setup/gear, I've just been there and done that.
on cab bars, having a camera mounted "halfway" up your lines will make it the most bouncy.
if you want maintain more stability, use longer front lines and position the camera closer to you. this will help minimize the bouncing. also having a camera mount that equalizes the camera's weight so there is less risk of wobbling helps dramatically as well. _________________ www.jimstringfellow.com

Cool. My gopro was indestructible for a while, so I got a bad habit going, leaving it on my helmet and tossing on top of gear in the SUV.
In my attempts to reform this habit, and also wear helmet other than when shooting, I started detaching it and carelessly stowing it wherever.
And that's where it may be now (though actually it probably rolled out the back of the truck into a salt marsh post sesh during a nor-easter).
Live and learn I guess.
HD at the cheapest price might be good for a guy like me...

Thanks,
The camera is fairly close already, was not planning on moving it more than a few inches. There is almost no separation in the lines where the Sanyo camera is now. Moving a few inches should stop most of the rotation because of the divergent lines. The rest I hope will be taken care of by adding a rigid mount between the lines, the GoPro mount modified or similar that I make up.
Not really that attached to my rig. Just put it on the net to answer questions about my last video.
If GoPro wants to send me a camera, I’ll gladly try it, may be converted, who knows.
