Ever wonder how the kiting is at far-away, far-flung, far-off, and favorite kiteboarding destinations ??

Some of these destination kiteboarding spots help out by offering webcam still photos & videos of the beach and/or riding area directly offshore from the beach.

One of mine this time of year is to check out the wind, water, and kiteboarding vibe at La Ventana -- owned & operated by Baja Joe's.
This webcam has been in place for several years that I know of:

I haven't searched for other webcam sites for La Ventana, maybe there are others that show different views.

Checking up on the conditions in La Ventana today, here is a screen-capture photo of the Baja Joe's webcam.

Living vicariously this time of year in the PNW, can be had by viewing some webcam photos and/or live video from the Caribbean or south of the equator.
I am not that familiar yet with kiteboarding in South America, Africa, or Australia, but have been to Cabarete in la Republica Dominicana (the Dominican Republic).

This small, lesser-developed town in the Dominican Republic has a beautiful beach area, with tourists from many different places all around the world. And to see how the weather and wind is shaping up at the current time, there are some webcams that can be accessed from the ease of the Internet.

Here is a webcam URL to see the wind conditions and see some kites flying when it is windy ... which is almost every day this time of year:

Checking up on the conditions at Cabarete Bay last Friday, here is a screen-capture photo from the webcam.

I'm also stuck in the cool/cold winter doldrums here in the Seattle area. We've had a thermal inversion which has seen Seattle with temperatures at about freezing for the past few of weeks. And I'm stuck at a desk and an office environment for the work week...and haven't had a chance to ride since the new year.

So, wishing & wanting for kiteboarding action has led me to search for fun times through the web.
