I don't understand the pigtail setup options on my 2011 OR Razor 6M kite. Can someone give me a link or a breif description their experiences? |

I have the same kite. If you are referring to the "kook proof" pigtails on the lines they are so you can't accidentally hook up wrong. The pigtails go on the back lines and the front lines have no pigtails. Your lines should all be the same length without the pigtails attached and bar all the way tight to the chicken loop. So, your back lines with pigtails attached will end with a knot on the end and the front lines will have a loop (larkshead) at the end. Hope that helps! You're going to love that kite!! |

The kite has two attachment points for the front lines and three attachment points for the back lines. several short pigtails are hanging from these attachment points. they varry in length from 3" to about 6".
I have no way of verifying if the proper pigtails are at the right places and how the different attachments affect the flying characteristics. How are yours setup?
Last time out I flew the kite with the attachments all the way forward both front and rear, how would this change at the other positions? |

For the front line attachment points:
Forward position( closest to middle of leading edge): best upwind, more bar pressure, more depower
Furthest back: deeper in the window, less bar pressure, less finicky to find the sweet spot for power. ( this is my position, mainly because I need less bar pressure)
For back lines:
Forward position: Slower turning, less prone to stalling
Mid position: in between the forward and back position ( this is my position)
Furthest back: faster turning but more prone to stalling.
Hope this helps |

Pete, know what he's talking about. He's been riding the brand for 4 years now. However if you want to drop by the shop and have us rig up your kite with you we will, no problem.
