Used to windsurf Rimrock quite a bit. The general rule used to be that if the Hatch/HR is 5.0 (9m Kite) then Rimrock is 6.0 (14m Kite). Look for a cross-cascade pressure gradient between Toledo WA, and Yakima WA. West winds ONLY
The sketchy part might be the water level of the lake. This lake is generally high this time of year, and it drops suddenly in September.
The launch for windsurfing (and maybe kiting) is a boat launch about mid-lake heading west of a cabin resort/restaurant.
....One more thing, bring at least a 5/3 wet/dry suit. This water is freshly melted ice & snow. _________________ CGKA Member
