(If you're planning on attending the clinic please get to the Sandbar parking lot around 12PM, Check the post near the end of this thread for more info!)

The Slider Project and NWKite are busting out the Grinch and the Unicorn winches to do a free slider clinic at the Hood River Sandbar on April 11th at noon until dark. We're doing this as a fundraiser to help NWKite.com raise money to support the community effort to build the FunBox.

$30 donation gets you a t-shirt.

We're going to BBQ, hang out, hit some sliders, and wish for wind. We'll keep warm around our wood burning stove.

The Free Slider Clinic will be taught via the winch so it takes the kite out of the equation allowing you a chance to hit your first slider safely and with ease. If you've never hit a slider before and have been thinking about it, then come let us help you be successful. We'll have a few boards, helmets, and impact vests available for you so you don't have to worry.

The FunBox is designed for all levels of riders, so come down and get your technique dialed so you'll be ready.

UPDATE: For a donation of $20 NateDogg will film you so you can later review the footage and see how you did. This is a service being provided by NateDogg to help support the cause. Thanks Nate!

UPDATE2: For a donation of $20 Stringer will provide you with an 8x10 shot of you on the slider.

It's gonna be a great day for progression. I hope to see lots of people out there for the slider class.

Forrest and I scoped out a nice mellow spot down at the sand bar to set up the winch and slider. There slider is going to be set up in a "ride on" position so there will be no ollie required to get on to it. This is something that anyone can do so please come out learn some new stuff and help support the cause.

I'm down as well. Thinking we should bring the kicker out as well and plop it down in the sand. A little less intimidating than the HR kicker.

And of course the unicorn winch will be in effect so very little waiting for a pull.

No need to bring any boards Brett. We will have a wide selection of slider boards with boots ready for anyone who rides.
