				 Mon Jan 30, 06 6:57 pm    Ridin Baja - Pacific side? |

				| I am heading down to Baja to do a little surfing / k -boarding end of March. I see alot of info on Cortez sites, but very little on the Pacific launches. Has anyone ridden there? Raul's is the only launch I could find info on, and it doesn't look too inviting. Kite Vid 'Soul Fly' has some good footage of Hadlow ridin' Pacific Baja - but i have no idea where. Anyway, any info or recommendations for that time of year would be much appreciated. Thanks -Chris |

Conditions look good - but - at least at San Carlos prevailing wind seems to be side -off. Is the wind pretty much -side off on the whole north Baja coast? Side shore or side on would be nice (for safety) - maybe not as nice wave shape though. _________________ RidiN is LiviN |

				yup,

side off in Abreojos ,Conejo is onshore about half the time with a nice lefty at the point and about 40 miles of beach with a light side-on in the afternoon,San Carlos rips and you can lose your gear in the cold water |

				 Fri Feb 17, 06 1:02 pm    Baja Book 4 |

Grab a copy of Baja Book 4, there are map symbols of windsurfers as witnessed by the author. Also has a very good road log.

Other source to grab is "The Surf Report"

Also, Check the tides before you go

San Carlos is a three hour drive from M1 to the beach, not a quick stop.

Punta San Andreas (alejandro's surf camp) is an easy in and has some good waves and was windy.

Santa Rosalalita is also easy to get to has nice waves and side shore winds.

Bahia de Los Angles is an easy in and has good northelies at that time as well.

Roads were in great condition in the northern section, in jan. Didn't go further than Guerro though.

Be safe and have a great time. |
