Hello fellow windsurfers, and windjunkies.

The 2nd Annual Saylorville DAM JAM is scheduled to take place on Lake Saylorville north of Des Moines, IA May 16-18th 2008. This years event is packed full with fun activities both on and off the water, including dash for cash race, course racing and other fun activieties. The race is a sactioned MOWIND points event.

We got a saturday night band (Jemstate) lined up to play for us at the local Saylorville Marina floating Harbour Grille and bar during the Saturday night BBQ dinner event.

looks like there are enough launches for any wind direction here...

just hope it's not a cory with high walls or something, but its super close to Moline. Wink Wink It's not lake saylorville though..I just used that for direction...actually right outside of East Moline.

lake pepin can have monster swell with south wind. depending on which side of the river you are on (wisco/minne) you might be able to ride other wind directions too. plus it's wide there (lake pepin) so the current is not so swift and the sediment/shit settles out and the water isn't too bad.

northern iowa has some good spots, clear/spirit lakes get a lot of wind through the summer (the high planes). windancing.com has info i think

its been a cold spring as far as i know (warming a bit last two weeks), i'm guessing the river is still below 50
