I would have come out but i have to go to the midwest for the crossing. Next year or later on this year i would like to session that place.
Early Spring still good? I used to live out in Boise and i had a chance to drive out that way towards Sun Valley and that terrain on the way look sick as hell!

You’re right about that and the entire event attitude which is along the lines of:
"Screw riding the Flats, lets ride the hills" is right in line with my point of view and interest!
While I’ve been riding snow since 2001, the art of the possible was put out for all to view the first time Chasta attended MSR. I personally experienced an epiphany in regards to what terrain will work as I watched in amazement as he threaded the needle thru & around trees while dragging himself upslope.
At Crystal Mt., my personal and private playground is up slopping on East Peak.
Last Sunday I rode a sled from Green water to Easton & back scouting terrain and discovered multiple options. The next scouting effort will be accessing Cement basin (back side of East Peak) on sleds… oh… and before some attempts a to pee on my parade, the area’s are all open to sled access.

yes lots of good footage of some of you guys, Forrest, Brad, and Blake, but I haven't made a video in 6 months so I figured I would get rid of the cobwebs on some B grade footage. I actually filmed in HD but final cut pro and my camera don't seem to like each other. I just can't seem to get them to communicate and this light wind video was actually HD footage that I captured through Imovie and then imported into FCP. Not very efficient but just wanted to get some video completed. I am still working on it and won't give up on FCP, just need to find the right person who has gone through this crap.
send me a pm if you know what the hell I am talking about.
btw, its a sony HDR-HC7 cam and FCP 5.
The stills that I posted in this thread were actually taken with this video camera.

| Is the footage MPEG4? If so, your camera probably came with some software that will convert from MPEG4 to DV which Final Cut should have no problem dealing with. I could be wrong though. I have the a JVC HD camera and I have the same problem.

The HC7 should capture over to the comp as a M2T unless it's being downconverted somewhere first (to an AVI file). I've heard of problems with FC and the HDV Sonys in the past. I know Dave at Kitecinema doesn't have any problems, but he too uses iMovie with his HC1s.
BTW, nice video, Jim!

What about the R6 or the HV44...isn't that enough to be using the M2 with the R2-D2 while still working next to the bh4...
I'm bored...
