Solid work Dave. And yeah, that youkiteboard shit has been pissing me off too. That's awesome, some guy making ad money off of other people's work...badass.
I got a question though...what are you guys using for your HD cam? Picture is CRISP _________________ Order your copy of Present Tense today at http://cineaptic.bigcartel.com/product/present-tense-dvd |

Ruben has got to be experiencing some major soreness the morning after one of those sessions. |
I've gottin it to work on the bigger kites by twisting the lines once, then rocking back and forth. After a couple rocks the kite should bouce in to launch position... hang on! |

Come on guys - someone's gotta say something about the heeler chomping on the gull or whatever the seabird was at the beginning of that video. It was obviously injured or sitting on a nest. If that's something that's seen as being condoned by the kiteboarding community, we've got some serious educating to do about avoiding impacts to wildlife - if we want to keep our beaches open to our sport. The other image that comes to mind is the photo in the recent "The Kiteboarder" I think it was, that shows someone riding right through a flock of Canadian geese.
The riding in the video was smokin - as was the Best girl - but we've gotta wake up and object to image of kiters being irresponsible in respecting wildlife and the law. If anyone pulled that shit on one of our beaches, he'd hear about it. |

That's true !
I'll put the seagull sequal online this day, so all animal-lovers can see the dog didn't even use his teeth... ( it was trained to retrieve birds unharmed)
Only because of the dramatic Freeze-frame edit , It looks brutal, but it really is not.
Come on, we're sick, but not that sick!
Anyway
there's something online now that will blast everything away , and it's from the hand of Andy Gordon.

Color correction makes it look nuts! Are you guys still using iMovie, or something else? Never have played with it, so I don't know what all it can do. Some of the effects look like Adobe plugins? |

This doesn't happen too often for me, especially with kite movies and clips, but that left me in awe. Holy shit...I'm gonna go check it out again _________________ Order your copy of Present Tense today at http://cineaptic.bigcartel.com/product/present-tense-dvd |

Strange how videos like that simultaneously get me amped up and make me feel old at the same time. I think its a safe bet that I will never kite like that

It's super easy, i did it for the first time yesturday with my 11m. you just pull on the outside line and rock it back and forth and then it pops up on edge, and up it goes. Definately try and wait for a lull when doing this.
The second time i did it, i got launched about 20 feet downwind, so make sure you have wide open area downwind with no debris/people. |

I was originally under the impression he used the ATL system on the fuels. Not sure if anybody uses that. I think SS sells a kit and it is designed to be used for that type of launching on the snow. |
