that is true there was an ATL system on both the 05 and 06 fuels, but you actually attached the fifth line to trailing edge end of the center strut (i think) and that is how you popped the kite up off the ground when it was leading edge down. I never actually used it.

With the 07 fuel it is like a bridled kite relaunch, just grab a leader line and tug, it'll flip right up on it's side. so i think the ATL is pretty much obsolete with 07.

It's not really a big deal, but the '05/06, ATL/SATL don't require a 5th line to work. Rather, they just add a small bridle with solid rods to secure the wingtips. Never used the ATL though...

are you sure you're not thinking of the '05 SATL? since the '05 didn't come stock with a 5th line, i can see that. The 06 SATL definately makes use a fifth line, look here, i saved my 06 fuel manual

Simple ATL installation:
1) detach the online from the online kite pigtail
2) detach the online kite pigtail from the kite
3) attach the oneline kite pigtail to the webbing at the end of the center strut on the trailing edge using a loop to loop connection
4) attach the online to the simple ATL kite pigtail

anyway, not trying to start a debate, this was all originally about how sick & easy it is to hot launch the 07 fuels.
