Drove out to RR today. WOW  windy! very cool to see the white mist devil winds. Went to crown point and talked with a guy with a anamometor, Watched constant 50 with gusts to 80. So windy it was difficult to stand.
Very cool!

| Good stuff Henry, and awesome spot! It was nice meeting ya too. I've got a ton of pics, but I just got home so I still have to warm up, then I'll resize and upload them. A drysuit definately seems the way to go, unless I had gear like you! Pics should be up within the hour. -Adam

Okay, so I had around 50 pics, but a lot of them were similar, so I picked a few of the good ones... They were originally 3008x2000, but for the sake of loading time, I resized them to 800x535. If you'd like full res versions, just PM/E-mail me.

FYI
tried the "new" spot today, Cottonwood Point, Washougal. Looked great, awesome sandy launch, the wind sucked!!! unbelievably gusty, 10-40, no fun... Damn. I had high hopes. there were a few people out at the mouth of the Washougal River. wonder if that was any good. looked holey from the road...

It's west of the Washougal spot. As you're driving east on SR14 (from I-205), it's probably a mile or two after you enter Camas. I'll Google Earth a pic later tonight, just for the hell of it. The wind is a lot more stable than at that other spot (it was probably 20-35mph today). I was on my Fuel 7 and Henry was on his Bow 9, and there were those times when you had to work the kite, but for the most part the gusts were fun just to rip in! Not any of those 50mph+ blasts either.
