I got a little discouraged yesterday. As I finished rigging and was running back to the car for my hood, a hail storm hit. The wind jacked up and quickly the beach was covered with puddles of hail. Sasquatch and I started to question if we were in the right spot. As soon as the hail stopped, the wind completely died.
Fortunately Barfly was there to assure us that the session opportunities were not done for the day. Soon after, the sun came out and a kind 20M breeze kicked in for the rest of the afternoon.
The huge swell made for some fun terrain on the inside and the channel was like being on the Deschuttes. It was magic!

Did you see somebody down at the spit Ian? I went down to Swell City to check if I could remember where the river was- been so long.
Got a new 6 mil wetsuit- though not liking the snow falling outside now.

My smooth bottom is sensitive as you can tell, but I was joking too...sorry, gotta remember those smiley emots to take the edge off!
Seriously tho'. Coldness was not that big of factor. (Although I did keep my hood on the whole session which was a first for me). Of course the coast is nothing like the gorge when it comes to brutal coldness.
Props to all the numb limbs out there.
