I am planning on driving out there for the Townhall tonight. We should get as many kiters there as possible to provide constructive input.

Should be very interesting Shocked

Wouldn't it be a good idea to keep the peace with the windsurfers? When it comes to fighting for launch sites accross the country and the impending doom that looks bleeck with a never ending growth of wind sports, we need all the help we can get. Last time I checked, there are a lot of windsurfers with major legal clout. I am a kiter and even have a screen saver with a windsurfer launching off a wave in Maui about 30ft up. Very cool! Anyway, strength in numbers! Share the waves, share the launches! Learn to live with each other or turn it all into a big mess in the end... It feels good to be sharing the waves when I go to the Hatch. You give respect, you get respect.... and if you dont you get jumped over..... Laughing

United we stand. Divided we park in gravel and fight over 3 acres of sand.

Nice exactly my thoughts. We have alot more power if we work with them rather then against them. Plus the CGWA has done some really cool things including helping us set up stuff this year for the CGKA.

Bummer on the attitude for this thread man. I clicked on the iwindsurf link, there wasn't one bad comment about kiters from windsurfers. Sounds like those guys are interested in peace and stoke. Hope we can all be the same

Yeah Phil, no doubt a humorous header. But just thought it was an important topic to chime in on... I have lurked on several threads with kiters taking jousts at the "pole smurfs". But truth is, they are people just like us and most that I have talked with are really cool to tell ya the truth. We need them more than they need us. The windsurfing communitys are well intrenched on the scenes and can only help us if we work hard on issues WITH them... Maybe we should all shuttle over to Jamaica and learn the true meaning of RESPECT! It works!
