Yeap, I was on my 11th day of kiting as of yesterday!!!!!!!! Need to get prepared for Brazil, so practice, practice, practice. Today I'm getting a massage, the knees are in a bit of pain, so I won't be out there;-( Hopefully, it blows tomorrow though. Mysterygirl and I were on 9's and Nic was rocking her 7.

Yeah, there is plenty of room to be by yourself - I wouldn't try and kite in the crowd that will be taking photos. Plenty of room upwind and down wind of them.
if you know the basics you should be allright.
