It started working at the nude beach about 1:30pm. I was on a 13M. I could see columbia city Jeff working his 16M Cabrinha at the kite beach about the same time.

It turned on good about 3pm or so with caps across the whole river as far up and down river as I could see. I had to leave at about 4pm to pick up Kelton and we didn't get back till about 6pm. I got a wind alert from iKitesurf about 5pm saying it was blowing 17-25 at Scappoose.

You send the kite forward during a boost much earlier than usual (like as if you had the wrong timing), then you start going downwind very fast. Then you come in real hot and need to send the kite back and into a loop above you to land smooth.

Kind of hard to explain but the affect is huge jumps where you glide 200 feet or more and land smoothly. Can't say I have really nailed it myself. Amery says you got to have a lot of wind to do it right.
