Hello Volunteers,

I will be creating a distribution list in the next couple of days in order to communicate quickly with everyone. In the meantime, I wanted to get this message out to all of you ASAP.

In speaking with the Gorge Games staff today, I was able to gain some clarification on volunteer camping. Recently I was told that the Athlete's Village was specifically for athlete's, and with that I was starting to work on volunteer camping. However, the Athlete's Village Director stated this evening that volunteers are able to camp in Athlete's Village.

So, if anyone is in need of camping while volunteering at the Gorge Games, please go to the Athlete's Village link: http://www.gorgegames.net/athlete_village.asp. This is a first come first served basis, and with over 400 volunteers anticipated and many athlete's as well things will fill-up quickly. There is a fee and there are rules that need to be followed. All the information you need is located on that link, which is the FAQ link. Click on the "book a spot" link at the top of the page to reserve your spot. Note: This camping is more suitable for RV or Car camping as the ground is hard gravel.

I'm working to see where "overflow" camping will be located and will communicate that ASAP.

Tent and "Overflow" Camping, Hotels, Bed&Breakfasts Update:

Sue at Cascade Travel has teamed up with the Gorge Games in order to offer many different accomodations for everyone. Please go the their website: http://www.cascadetvl.com/ and work through Sue. Sue is also the one taking the reservations and payments for spots within the Athlete's Village.

Thanks so much for your participation, let's make this an amazing event for our fellow kiters and represent in the Gorge Games!

When you fill out the form and submit it it does go directly to Sue at Cascade Travel, we have the complete inventory but you must fill out the form and submit it through the Gorge Games website. We process the reservation, take your payment and send out a confirmation to you, exact sites are assigned upon arrival. Please read the FAQ page so you are up on the rules and regulations of the Athletes Village, its a pretty cool spot to be!
