Sat Nov 19, 05 1:50 pm What size kite? |

So lets just say that I just started flying a trainer kite and I think I'm getting pretty good with it. Xmas is coming up and I may have a bonus that I wanna use to invest in next summer because I am definitely hooked. So what would be the best all around kite size for a beginner in this area? I would probably go after work a lot next summer to Sauvies. |

I am 200. I used my 16 all the time at Sauvie. If you can only get one kite, I would suggest a 16. Then, get a 12 for hood river, ocean ect.
Ps I will be selling my Naish 16 this spring. |

go for used gear for sure for your first kite, you are guaranteed to trash it. No need to do that with brand new kites, as tempted as you might be.
Check the classifieds... for your first kite its always good to not go too big, I'd say something in the 10m-12m range. Once you get better you can build your quiver from there. |
