Yes, tomorrow! The Broadbandito is threatening to come out of off-season retirement.

Thinking about heading down around 11.

Looks like its been blowing out at the airport today, maybe same tomorrow... all things considered the Airport may be a better spot. Less gusty I think. Also closer for most of us. Thumb's Up

Looks like Lot D might have also perked up today...

Ya just gota watch those ESE winds as they come over the South dike and the kite launch gets a significant wind shadow. E & NE are much better for the PDX site…

Just got back into town and was thinking about heading out there tomorrow or Wednesday. I want to get up the mountain too for some snowkiting, but I have no idea how to forecast the wind up there.

On the way back, I stopped by the airport, just to check the wind. Seemed okay, probably 15 gusting to 20, but with occasional lulls. As I drove back towards 185th along Marine Drive, the whitecaps got bigger and bigger! Surprised

Seems like that east winds in the Gorge mean its dead on the mountain... at least when I was at Meadows the other day there wasn't even a slight breeze. I think when Aaron was up at the mountain the other day it was SW... still it'd be great to get info from those guys on what wind direction and speed works on the mountain.

Phil's right...we were on hood yesterday and drove the I-84 back route...it almost blew our boxy little rig off the road going up past Rooster, but was completely still on the mountain. In fact, it was like spring skiing with people wearing t-shirts - so much for the snow base this week.

Good stuff hbrico! pkh and colby, thanks for the wind info. Looks like it's water kiting tomorrow, so long as we have wind... I know you guys were already talking about posting up the "location" for tomorrow, so I'm just gonna go where you say! Wink

Holy crap, Corbett sensor gusting to 58 knots! That's over 66mph... and by standard Rooster logic, add 10 right? Shocked

I feel sorry for those people that live in houses between Bonneville and Rooster... yikes.

Ugh Mark, I don't think you even need a kite, if that what's you were gonna use the baggy for! Laughing

What's the game plan? Rooster on the B2 + 5m lines + 90cm board?

wow...that qualifies as hurricane force winds... I've heard the record in the area is 120mph!! It might be possible to touch down on the Oregon coast after lift off.

Anyone heading out today?
