Hey Ice,
Is there good snow kiting around Whitefish or on Lake Whitefish? I ask because Portlanders can take the train there..

Whitefish is no that great due to lack of wind, but I believe there are some areas around Kalispel. I will check and get back to you! BTW, Joel said the snow is thigh deep at georgetown!

Mount Haggin WMA rocks! This is the back country area behind Georgetown lake...excellent wide open fields, terrain and park and ride opportunities! It is officially on!

Nice pics icemonkey! Looks like you guys got a sweet snowkiting launch there.
I just back from my first day up on Hood for snowboarding this season, pretty friggin awesome day. There is already more snow there ever was last year (which isn't saying much.) Lots of pow-pow, and not too windy I'd say.
