sorry about the pics they seemed not too bad with morphine,
a grim picture indeed
While laying about I was watching a movie and the line was
"there are 3 things in life ,
first is there is always a victim,
second don't be the victim,
the third doesn't matter "
sounded very clear to me.

After some fun lines on Bailey ,we were charging out for the second day
The report was 4 ft of fresh
we hit the trail a little jockeying for the lead and I had it
we soon went off the groomed in the morning to the not groomed at all
with about 3-4 ft. of fresh ,
about 5 miles from camp and with a near whiteout I almost passed the turn, sliding to a stop I was drilled by the next guy who was a lot closer than I thought.
End result me stopping him with leg .

Over $50K for me and I think they beat Heaths sled back out.

The lesson is if you are in the lead you have you better look out
thanks for the sympathy
I apperciate it

Last night, Jahmbi and I were out kiting past dark in Seaside and two emergency vehicles drove on the beach, lights flashing etc and sat there for about 1/2 hr (I thought they were there for me b/c I went down outside and maybe someone called Confused ).

I called the police this morning to see what the call was for. There was a buggy out too. Apparently he went down and smashed his face up pretty good. Bloody nose and ear. He went to ER, hope he's ok.

I got word today from Ben that the guy is local Coast Guard. His name is Mark (don't know his last name, please help if you know). He recently moved back to the coast after being away for some years but was one of the early kite buggy crew with Gabe and Eli during the 90's. Mark broke his face, both arms, some ribs and is in a coma in Portland. Please keep Mark in your thoughts.

Also, his gear was left on the beach and so far is unaccounted for. Buggy, kite... please post if you know anything about it. Jahmbi and I didn't see anything after our session but then didn't know what had happened and it was pretty dark.
