awesome!, too bad the wind forecast isn't very good. Still might head out to check it out though. Is it easily viewable from land?

Just got off the phone with one of my clients...

He is a judge at the event...He says it's on for Fri-afternoon and running the rest of the heats Sat. morning.... I guess peak swell is at midnight.

So, sounds like it's on.. Hope I can make it down. Twisted Evil

heat 3 is finishing up right now. not as epic as years past, but still very fun to watch.

they'll wrap up the finals either tomorrow or sunday, but most likely sunday based on the wind forecast.

bring yer kites tomorrow!

took a bunch of pics friday. most of them were wrapping up by 2pm. that sport is a LOT of standing around it seems like.

my camera is an old film camera...only thing I had with a good enough zoom lens... ended up taking mostly shore pics anyway.

those ski drivers got skills.

i'll post the pics in a day or two.

overheard some guys talking that mavericks just went green too.

If anyone decides to kite Nelscott when they are not running heats, Richard Hallman is there photographing and I would happily run a shot in Kiteboarding Mag if the quality is good.

I hope someone goes for it.

I'm in tinyE's boat.
I took some shots on a film camera on friday.
There were definitely some pretty sick waves out there!
Even if you don't hit the contest area with kites, the inner breaks looked pretty rad.
Also, I wonder how upset people would be if kiters hit the south reef every now and then since its not actually in the contest area.
