...Handle passes are passe. Real Harry needs to innovate. How 'bout a candle, sandle, or anvil pass?! Passing a gallstone would be sick too, but you couldn't do it more than maybe one time/year.

I don't see anybody juggling chainsaws on the water or talking shit in a superhero costume. You oughta hit the steroids and take kiting into a WWF realm with your routine.

Here's some inspiration:

shit-oh-dear gotta love this thread.
why in the world would anyone want to turn pro and make something as spiritual as kiting their nine-to-five. i had an off-chance to turn pro (ho), back in the day when my current rabidity was cycling. at the point that something becomes your JOB, can it still be your first love?! something to think about. . .

"When something becomes your job, can it still be your first love?"

No.

Kiteboarding is not like football and basketball.
It is much more like being a surfer or artist.
The 'goal' in kiteboarding is to experience freedom and control individually while expressing yourself.

Freedom and individual control can be negated when you sign with one brand and commit to their agenda.

Kiteboarding is a kinetic artform entwined with a brave stunt.
Videos are more powerful than any contest tour.
Still photos can cheapen the beauty of the sport because it is difficult to see a persons style.......
Anyone can snap a frame of you atttempting a kite loop....but did you land smooth and fast?

Who wants to look at still frames of acrobats???
The scenery around the rider is usually more interesting than the rider, but the magazines have to pimp the brands.

I see this all as a big problem in the industry and just thought this was a good time to voice it.

If you are going to be involved in the industry make sure you stay loyal to yourself first and foremost.

Otherwise you will just end up being another 'Bill Board(er)'

Kite Karl's onto something. Real Harry might also consider throwin' porn into his pro mix. Since Slingshot's already gotten permission from Jenna Jameson for promotional purposes, I'd suggest he pursue Slingy as his first sponsor. I'm not sure that I wanna see Real's version of going big though.

Videos are definantly going to be the only thing to really show your style. Still photos are cool, but thats all they are cool. Everyone likes looking at themselves, but Videos dont just show one trick, or one point in a trick, in a video a rider gets to show off all of the stuff hes done over a full season of riding, unlike competition where its just what rider is good on that day. videos show riders full skills. Just watch and wait, Videos are gonna be MONEY soon.
