I stopped and kited at Sherman Island on a trip down to Cali this summer. Sherman Island is insane!! You have to be careful launching and landing, but the locals have a good system and were helpful. The amount of water expanse to ride is huge, there's low islands with flat slicks on the lee side, fun waves to jump in the channel, on and on..... Once I got stuck in dying wind and had to come in over the levee 1/2 mile upriver, but it was no big deal. Best flatwater kiting I've ever experienced.
