Is now allowed from October 1st until April 30th. Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

Thats right folks you can pump your kite, rig your lines, LAUNCH and LAND until May1st. The Waterfront Recreation Committee voted for it and the Port Commissioners approved the new policy!

The main reasons this took place were that the kiteboarding community has proven its ability to clean up its back yard to make the area safe and self-police the no-fly zone. We are still working toward having the far eastern tip of the Eventsite to be approved for pumping and drying kites for the entire season, but we won't know the outcome until later ths spring.

We want to thank our fantastic gorge kiteboardng community for all of its efforts last year, and look forward to improved access as we continue to prove that we are a responsible, productive entity!

Kite on!,

Jim, Adam, Cory, and Shay!

It's only fair that we let the windsurfers launch from the Sandbar during that same time too! Twisted Evil

It's 9NNW to 10 right now. T2 14s and a Glide should do!

The event site is a tricky launch and beginers should probably still launch off the sandbar.

Yup. There is a pretty good windshadow right there.
