So Meadows is opening up the buttercup and easy rider lifts. Which is all good, but I was wondering if it was even worth going? I'm sure there are going to massive lines with only two lifts open on the holiday weekend. What are other people's thoughts? Anyone going?

Take some snowshoes, get a ride up the lift and hike up higher!

My little group of boarder friends had been planning on it for the last month, if they opened, but now I'm thinking the same thing? Do a lot of working peeps get Friday off? I know everyone that's in school will be there...

I would say the majority of working people (besides retail) get the day off. So you have all the school kids and working stiffs on two lifts Confused

Yes, there will be massive lines, but bring your ankle weights and do high steps in line--great preseason training Razz Exclamation

All of us were in drysuits except for Shay and Andrew... I rode without booties and gloves today, though that shit gets cold after a while.

I am skipping this weekend at Meadows too many people plus I dont want to trash my board just to ride easy rider and buttercup. The lady at Meadows told me they are thinking more snow next week so I am hoping next weekend some of the quads will open.

Quote MHM:
" PARKS & PIPES - Shipyard

Rails are the name of the game. Not enough snow to scrape together any jumps. As it looks now, the only place we will have rails set up is Shipyard. I estimate we will have 12-15 rails. They will be rails that everyone will be able to enjoy. We will have ledges, box-tops, fun boxes, mail boxes, flat bars, double barrels, and some fun little jibs. We will be as creative as the snow will allow. Almost the whole parking lot of snow has been hauled up on the hill. A portion of that is going into Shipyard. Without it we would have been struggling to put something together. The forecast looks good for early next week. Hopefully we will be able to expand our operation. "

Yesterday they said they had a new 30' box set up ready to go - don't know if they got it set up or not - it sounded like it yesterday tho.

Well it's sunny but look at the line today. Hopefully next weekend they can open up some more chairs. How was the snow?

The snow actually wasn't that bad only because of the sun. It was crazy hot and a lot of guys were riding in just t-shirts. Had a single layer dryfit shirt and my normal thin AK shell with no gloves and was dying.

P.S. - The rules are strict now. They have flaggers everywhere telling you to slow down, even if you're just trying to get enough speed to make it up a hill... They're handing out rope if you don't have a board leash, etc.
