				| i'm headed to the coast tomorrow but have never been in the surf before. i expect i'll be mostly in the shallows, hopping over the foam, etc., considering a downwinder...
is long beach a good place for this, whisky run style?

are the other places everybody talks about -- ft. stephens, manzanita good for learning in the shallows with no shore pound?

				| Finding good sailable wind will be the trick today. Keep an eye on Manzo early. Shorepound abound but you are not going to escape that too much. Don't know about LB, but you probably will have the best chance of wind south of Neahkahnie mountain. | |
