O.S. systems. Looks basically the same as the one where tucker blew himself up in. Ive had it for a while, bought it for sailing. I wore some polypropylene pants and shirt underneath to keep warm, maybe too warm. Everything was pretty wet when I took it off, think it was all sweat though, it felt pretty warm. Any ideas on how not to overheat/sweat in a drysuit?

layer under your drysuit... i use a thin layer of high tech long johns, then fleece...
but...
i have reservations about wearing a drysuit in the waves... some of the more experienced wave riders might chime in here... but (just my opinion here) blowing out a seal or zipper could be signing your death warrant out there... if you've ever had to swim in, think about how hard it might be trying to swim in with drag. Water in your suit won't make you any heavier, but it will provide a place for currents to grab on to...
just be careful man!

Tami and I rode Saturday --Del Ray entrance to the Iredale.
Second session in youngs bay later that afternoon.
Drysuits in the waves are a really bad idea.
No flotation---and serious inability to swim if you fill up with water in a failure situation.
In addition, it isn't very logical since the water temps warm in the winter in Oregon's ocean due to currents from the south. And 56 to 60 degree water is the average for the Seaside area in winter.....it's not Gorge river water.
Ponds is setting up for Mon and Tue.

here are some pics from Nai Beach in Newport last sat:
like mentioned, I would never want to have to swim with this much water in my suit, and possibly tangled in lines, I'll have to stick it out in my wetsuit from now on. The water really didn't feel much warmer than in august unlike many people said it would be.
And BTW, that little house in the bottom picture is actually open to the public and has just bare concrete with some benches inside, perfect for changing, theres a path right behind it down to the beach. if coming form Corvallis, just keep going straight towards the ocean after you get to the 101 off highway 20 and you'll run right into it.
