Any suggestions on lodging in La Ventana or Los Barilles?

If rooms are tight have you thought about caping, staying in a van or camper . You can rent there or drive down. 3-4 days drive each way would take a big chunk out of your trip though.

Check it out. Really nice and friendly retired German couple that lives upstairs and rents the downstairs area out. They even warned us about the A-hole quad rental owner coming by trying to weasel more money out of my friend. It's a few minute walk from North Beach where most people launch to kite. Has a nice big king bed in the bedroom and small fold out. They probably have a small mattress they can bring downstairs if necessary for a 4th unless you have a couple with you willing to share the smaller sleeper. Rental was cheap at $350/week for two people or $450/week for 4 people. The kitchen/living room area is nice and spacious.

Last year a friend of mine found a place for one week at Xmas last minute at ventanabayresort.com. They are located basically between Hot Springs and the main part of La Ventana Bay.....

I also stayed here in February for half my trick. Lodging includes breakfast and lunch which at first concerned me but the food is so good you definitely are bummed if you miss a meal...

Also, you might want to contact brian at solymar.com. He has a 2 bedroom house with a detached studio and is located basically next to Baja Joe's.
