I'm not trying to diss, but what the hell does that mean?... "versatile all terrain" with industry leading performance?

So its made for land, water, and sky and its really performs although its also not fast...cause its stable?

Why not cut to the chase and say its revolutionary

I'm all for that; I have been super duper buried at work and when I get a chance to escape my full time job,my sideline company, and the family....the wind dies.

I guess what I am really trying to say is that its hard for the consumer to get and idea of what is really going on in the market.

Mark,
Can you describe the main differences between the Cult and the Helix if you can? They are very similiar in descritpion and design. I have heard the Cult has a different power band than the Helix.

These kites are very impressive.

I have not had a chance to fly the Cult. My understanding is that it is more forgiving and less high performance than the Helix. It has two less struts and is a less expensive kite. It is essentially the 08 Boxer. Which by the way I think is a great kite.

Bam,
You should give us some wisdom as you have flowen both.....

Hey NW Kite...

Calling Mark names is not nice! He is not pimping and proclaiming anything about the kite, but just giving you all the the NW a simple opportunity to ride the new kite. Heck, this seems to be a pretty special opportunity so like Mark mentioned... CUT THROUGH THE PRINT HYPE AND GO TRY THE KITE.

Mark is not getting free anything, just the opportunity to hang out with Felix for a few months. Ride the kite, ignore the hype.

In regards to the differences... The five struts of the Cult give it a more friendler/easy handling/lighter feeling. It is the kite that I am personally riding on a daily basis. But, this is a personal slant and a demo is worth anything in print.

Kite on, Jon

Bambam,

How about a little feedback on the Cult. The Naish site gives the impression that the Cult is only 1 to 1 on the bar? I am going to guess that you can use it in 2 to 1 also. I did like the 1 to 1 on my 12m Boxer in light winds, changed to 2 to 1 in stronger, gusty wind.

I am laid up right now (knees) so I can't demo any kites... Taking a chance by ordering new kites in time for Baja Sur. For sure I want a 9m, trying to chose between either a 12m or 14m (13.5m). I could go for either the Helix or Cult, leaning toward the Cult. I am 185# riding a 133 Sol. Also taking a 5'10 directional board (NorthPacific) with me.

Thanks,
Nik

Nik,
Yes you can rig the bar to 1-1 or 2-1. It also has a sliding stopper system. You can move it with one finger up and down.

As for the size, I would go with the 12. I find them to have very similar wind range to the Boxers. A 12 and surfboard is a great combo. Thats my light wind setup.

Hope that helps.
Mark

the last image shows terrain similiar to the western mountains on Maui.
Could it be out maybe past Ka'anapoli?

Anyhow it's a very interesting kite. I did review the bar while in Maui and it is as well impressive with the below the bar sheeting. It should be a very good year for Naish.
