I think it's actually happening this time!! The North Coast is FIRING and for the next couple days!!!
I am off to find some lips to smack... probably N coast or Manzanita...
Who else is going coastal?? Downwinders anyone???
2008 Liquid Force Demo's anyone???
I know 've missed a couple of you before with finicky conditions.. but am out there at least the next 2-3 days in the North-Mid Coast areas.
Cell phone- 503.866.2629 text message works good because voicemails can pile up. Looking to hook up for downwinders and demos.

Hooked in total depower... got that....
unhooked steady pull down the line... got that too
relaunched the 14m a couple weeks ago at Manzo about head high, classic no wind on the inside... between waves... I think it was about 6sec period...
That's very comforting in these cold sharky waters we've got...
You'll have to be patient for the 08 Surfboards... They are in production but it will be late fall here before the arrive. Norby sort of let the cat out of the bag by posting the page of Rawson's from the dealer book...

I'll have info and video out there soon though.. Spent some time with Pat Rawson in his shaping room at his house in Oahu last month and got some great video with him talking about all of the new boards and why they're shaped as they are, how they've evolved, applying his 40+ years as a surfboard shaper to the needs and feedback of top riders like Maurico Abreu, Slezak, Mow, Andre Phillip and Elliot Leboe over the past 6 years... was one of the most compelling interviews I have ever shot and he was one of the most amazing people I've ever met...

Whoop there it is!!! Wish I could post a pic but too lazy...
It's a Happening!!! Surfed PC this am and then drove down to roads end. Everything really cleaned up last night!! 10 sec period.. and over my head on the outside sets!
I think Newport is the call today, as it's already coming up more there and it's oh so nice to ride the 8m/10m...
I've got double quiver... so if you see a big guy out on a new 2008 Liquid Force Havoc... and you want to ride one... wave me in and I'll hand it off and go pump up another for myself.
Sounds like a decent crew will be at Manzanita tomorrow, so as of now, that is the plan...
