oregon coast

Have some vacation time the third week of Sept. into the first week of Oct. and was thinking about hitting the coast. Anybody have any info. on where the best spot to hit might be around that time?? Not sure if I need to go south more or if Newport and area might be good at that time. Thanks for any help.

Thanks, that will help for sure as the trip gets closer. Anybody know what the winds etc... are like around that time of Sept.? Where the best chances of wind are? Thanks again.

do you have an ikitesurf account. If so, you can look at the history from each site from previous years and determine your best bet. Sept can be flukey with awesome wind one day and nothing the next. The good part is, you'll probably avoid the fog! Florence looked like it went forty today so there's still time!
