I would go to Stevenson but it is populated by kooks wearing bright purple bike helmets.

Seriously, I spotted you from the BOG the other day.

I agree with spike, Stevenson is probably in my opinion, one of the best spots in the Gorge....The windy is pretty much steady and strong...It's been blowing 25+ and gusting to 29....
There's no waiting around for a puff @ this place... Wink

Pretty weak Sauvie forecast.....

Meteorologist Forecast
OR- Gorge West forecast valid for Wed, Sep 5, 2007
Issued 9/5 at 11:30 AM by meteorologist George McLean - Next scheduled update: 6:00 PM
Special updates issued as needed.
West wind 21-25 Central Gorge moves to Eastern Gorge this afternoon.

Upper level flow is WNW with strong gradients at the surface. Gorge gradients should hold through the day even through west clouds are clearing. Coastal sites are clearing as well and with high pressure offshore NW wind should fill in to the ocean beaches. Coast Range gradients still look pretty weak this afternoon so Jones beach should be fairly light.

• Central Gorge sites should be 21-25 into the late afternoon. Doug's already in the 21-25 range and should hold into late afternoon. Maryhill and Arlington should build to 21-25 mid to late afternoon.

• Jones beach builds to 15-19 late today. Sauvies NW 8-12.

• North Coast sites NW 15-19 with 21-25 at Manzanita. NW wind 18-22 on the Central Coast. NW wind 21-25 on the South Coast with stronger wind south of Cape Blanco. NW swell 6 feet at 9 seconds.
