Jetty Island Women's Weekend has moved to the Gorge!
Please PM me if you are interested. There are still spots available!
This one WAS up at Jetty Island, but the forecast looks weak for Jetty, so the WKA and Jetty Island Kite & Skim are moving it to the Gorge!
Exact meeting location will be announced Friday. Please check clinic times, as they have changed!!
This weekend consists of clinics for beginners, intermediate and advanced riders with one-on-one coaching from the boat for intermediate and advanced riders. Liquid Force will have the women's Aura boards available for demo too!
Beginner-Intermediate Riding Kite Clinic, 9am-12:30
For riders still perfecting their board sports and not yet riding upwind. This clinic will focus on getting you to ride and stay upwind, and ride back and forth consistently.
Lunch for both clinics between sessions! 12:30-2pm
Intermediate & Advanced Riders Clinic, 2-5:30
For women riders who can stay upwind and want to learn more advanced techniques and maneuvers. This clinic is for women who are just starting to transition, jump, execute simple spins or rolls, as well as more advanced moves such as grabs, unhooked, and power maneuvers. Coaching will be one-on-one, and will focus on each individual rider's goals.
The Women's Weekend Clinic includes:
Lunch, boat support, swag from Liquid Force and the Women's Kiteboarding Association, and of course... great tips and service!

$65 for Trainer Kite Clinic and $100 for the Intermediate and Advanced clinics. Includes lunch, boat support, and cool swag!

Bummer  Would love to have attended, but have been committed to volunteering for the blowout on Saturday August 11, 2007. Maybe Sunday? Gotta catch a flight for business travel evening of Sunday, but would love to attend for a bit. |
