Pole boarders have a different set of circumstanes
THE POLE

I WAS ONLY GOING 28 MPH (felt fast!)
When I went over the front

It is up to you to protect your self. Wink

My choice is to wear a helmet in case of that one time I am going to need it. But it also provides 100 SPF protection for my bald head. Cool

My bike helmet save me just the other day in a mtb crash Shocked ...you never know when it is going to happen. Question

Ski / Board stats from study in Colorado:

2001 @ 12% helmet use among adults

2006 @ 60% helmet use among adults

What % of KB's use helmets ya think? I don't wear one on snow or h20 - guess I'm behind the curve on this one.

Frozen water yes, liquid water not right now but I did when I was learning. It's really not a bad idea, especially when hitting sliders and such.

The thing with liquid water is that you only have to knock yourself out and then drown. ON the frozen stuff getting knocked out is no big deal.
