Spike tried out my board late yesterday and it was like strapping on a new pair of tennis shoes - he couldn't stop jumping! He's come a long way since his first lessons at the end of May. Way to go Spike!
I've put up a few sequences just to show he's landing a lot of his stuff now.

Awesome pictures tony, thanks! I see the big red helmet still screams newbie , but I really don't want my head busted by a rock or board. As for the jumping, that's the only way I manage not to keep going upwind, downwind planing isn't nearly as bitchin' . Good to see you riding on a regular board again too.

Yeah, that's the Drive 125. It's fast, light, and a little squirrelly until you get used to it. If you ride one with the 1" fins you'll hate it - with the 1.8" or 2" it's a completely different board. And by fast I guess I really mean low drag - it accelerates well and seems like you can use it with a kite size smaller than you would need for some other boards. You can find the 2006 versions for around $150 on e-bay these days.

ya.. i've got one (2006 model) sitting in my garage.. rode it a couple times but compared to my skywalker i really dont prefer it. think its got 1.5 fins.. solid board, just does not tack upwind as naturally as my 131.
i picked it up in a 2 board deal where i needed a super wide lightwind board and paid a few bucks extra for the guy to throw this in. i ride the lightwind board a lot. unfortunately...due to crappy conditions, too often..
